Abandoned Homes

Every county in Ireland has it's share of older stone cottage and estates in ruins.  Some more than others.  Throughout my travels, I saw some sad yet incredible - even hopeful ruins.

I like to imagine the daily lives of those who lived in these places and I have to constantly talk myself out of buying one to restore.  I'm not that young!  BUT, if I were 15 years younger and had a much larger purse - well, that would be a different story and this blog would be written in my Irish cottage!

If you enjoy old buildings or have an active imagination, you may like these as well.

I know.....everything would have to be gutted and brought up to modern standards.  But what a journey it could be!
